Ryan Harrison is an attorney member of the State Bar of California Board of Trustees, appointed by the California Supreme Court in 2025.
Mr. Harrison is a management-side employment defense attorney with Fisher & Phillips LLP in the firm’s Sacramento office. His practice includes advising corporate clients on human resources strategies, government relations, litigation, trials, and conducting investigations into matters involving alleged Title IX violations, fraud, conflicts of interest, and public corruption.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Harrison served as a senior attorney at a Sacramento-based employment law firm and managed single-plaintiff litigation matters from inception through resolution. He previously held a leadership role with the California Senate Rules Committee, where he oversaw more than 900 state employees as an HR and administrative manager. Earlier in his career, he was a law enforcement officer specializing in dignitary protection and investigations.
Mr. Harrison has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Northern California Rising Star and has been named to National Black Lawyers and the Sacramento Business Journal’s “40 Under 40.” He brings to the Board his experience in legal practice, public service, and organizational leadership, along with a strong commitment to ethics, professional development, and access to justice.
Mr. Harrison earned his juris doctor from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco. He also earned a masters’ degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento.
